HomeGrown Poetry Open Mic

A poetry open mic followed by a featured performance of Atlanta's HomeGrown poetry team-- benefitting HomeGrown poetry and The Learning Tea! Tickets are available on Eventbrite ahead of time, $5 available the night of event, on location.

These poets are seriously talented. Come showcase your own talent and support local slam poetry artists, all while helping our girls pursuing their educational dreams in Darjeeling, India!

HomeGrown Poetry is a video platform and production company founded by Ryan Jones upon the principle that a poet doesn’t need to “born into” poetry in order to take control of their art. HomeGrown regularly attends and films at several Atlanta area spoken word events, in hopes of elevating both new and well-established artists from an often overlooked, yet vibrant poetry scene. The voices that are given a platform on HomeGrown come from many walks of life, all of which don’t necessarily look the same. Through this medium, HomeGrown hopes to promote art and artists that are continuously making an impact on their communities, and spoken word. Check out HomeGrown Poetry videos on Youtube channel, and follow them on Facebook
