Join us for the inaugural show of the new live literature series at The Bakery, ‘Then What.’ This month’s theme is GHOST STORIES! This show will feature a line-up of local writers, poets, producers, comedians, and storytellers:
- Theresa Davis
- Jon Carr has been a part of the Dad's Garage cast for more than 10 years, he loves performing and being the Marketing Director there. He founded United Atlanta Improv and has helped improv theatres around the city come together through collaborative works. He has appeared in a number of Dad’s Garage shows such as: Cannibal! The Musical, The Dad’s Garage Going Out of Business Show, and Democracy Achieved as well as written the plays The Wrath of Con and Black Nerd.
- Miranda Hawkins
- Olive Lynch is a comedian, actor, and foster parent to half a dog. She’s appeared on Vice’s FLOPHOUSE and in festivals like Crom, Sweetwater 420 Fest, and THE FEST which were chill, rad, and tight (respectively). Olive produces several shows in Atlanta, and tries not to cry more than once a fiscal quarter.
- Charles Parrott works in Department of Theatre & Performance Studies at Kennesaw State University where his teaching focuses on storytelling, performance art, and the performance of identity. He is the director of the KSU Tellers, a nationally recognized student storytelling troupe that performs at festivals and conferences around the country. Charles has performed around at Atlanta with Deer Bear Wolf, Case Studies, and Write Club, in addition to directing several successful performances for the Atlanta Fringe Festival. When he is not teaching storytelling, he spends time reading stories to his two adorable children.
- Avery Sharpe
- Christina Schmitt is a poet based in Atlanta, GA. She is a graduate student at Emory studying Theology and Ethics and was a member of the 2018 Art Amok Slam Team that won group piece finals at the National Poetry Slam. Her writing reflects her interest in literature, feminism, and theology. She is a semi-pro dodge ball player, is allergic to coffee, and has lied twice to you already in this bio. Feel free to ask her if you actually care.
- Amber Hamilton
